10-Day Catholic Pilgrimage to Greece & Patmos

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart San Antonio International Airport Aboard American Airlines with a connection in Philadelphia. Enjoy meals and inn flight services as you travel overnight across the Atlantic, preparing spiritually for your journey through the land of the Apostles
Arrive at Athens International Airport at 8:55 AM and meet your professional English speaking Christian guide. Transfer by deluxe motor coach to your centrally located 4nstar hotel. After time to rest and refresh, enjoy a gentle Panoramic orientation of Athens, including Syntegra Square and the Parliament area. If possible, celebrate Mass at a local Catholic church. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
After breakfast, begin a guided visit to the Acropolis area, followed by a walk to Areopagus (Mars Hill), where St. Paul addressed the Athenians (Acts 17). Continue with a panoramic city tour highlighting the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathinaikos Stadium, and the historic Plaka district. Celebrate Mass at a local parish. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
This morning, travel along the scenic Saronic Gulf with a stop at the Corinth Canal. Visit Ancient Corinth, where St. Paul lived and preached for eighteen months, viewing the ruins, marketplace, and Bema. Time for prayer and reflection using readings from Paul’s Letters to the Corinthians. Return to Athens for Mass, dinner, and overnight.
Transfer to Athens Airport for your included domestic flight to Thessaloniki. Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation tour of this historic city, including the White Tower, waterfront promenade, and the Rotunda of St. George (exterior). Celebrate Mass before dinner. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Depart for a full day excursion to Philippi, one of the most important early Christian sites in Europe. Visit the Roman Forum, early Christian basilicas, and the traditional site of the prison of Paul and Silas. Continue to the Baptistery of Lydia, commemorating the first Christian baptism in Europe. Proceed to Kavala, ancient Neapolis, the port where St. Paul first set foot on European soil. Time for reflection by the harbor before returning to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer south to Athens and continue to Piraeus Port. Board Blue Star Ferries – BLUE STAR 2,
departing at 6:00 PM. Settle into your reserved cabins for the overnight crossing. The ferry arrives in Patmos at 2:10 AM.
Day 8 – Tuesday, October 20 | Patmos – Island of Revelation
After arrival, transfer to your hotel for rest. Later, visit the Cave of the Apocalypse, where St. John received the visions recorded in the Book of Revelation. Continue to the Monastery of St. John the Theologian. Celebrate Mass if available. Free time in the harbor town of Skala. Overnight in Patmos.
Late evening transfer to the port and board Blue Star Ferries – BLUE STAR 2 departing at 12:05 AM. Overnight ferry crossing back to Athens, arriving at Piraeus at 8:15 AM.
Transfer to Athens International Airport for your return flights to San Antonio via Philadelphia. Return home filled with lasting memories and spiritual blessings from your pilgrimage.
