Day 1

Depart USA

Today we begin our faith-filled pilgrimage as we depart from the United States on our overnight flight to Greece. As we journey across the Atlantic, we prepare our hearts to walk in the footsteps of St. Paul, visiting the places where he preached the Gospel and helped establish the early Christian Church. Overnight onboard the aircraft.

Day 2

Arrive Athens flight to Thessaloniki,

Upon arrival in Athens, we connect to our domestic flight to Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city and one of the most important centers of early Christianity. St. Paul preached here during his Second Missionary Journey and later wrote two letters to the Christians of Thessalonica, which became the books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians in the New Testament.

After meeting our professional Christian guide, we transfer to our hotel. If time permits, we will enjoy an orientation walk through the city's lively waterfront and historic center before celebrating Holy Mass (subject to availability).

Day 3

Philippi • Kavala • Thessaloniki

Following breakfast, we travel to Philippi, one of the most important biblical sites in Greece and the first Christian community founded by St. Paul in Europe.

Here we visit the magnificent archaeological ruins, including the ancient Forum, the Basilica, and the traditional Prison of St. Paul and Silas. We also stop at the Baptistery of St. Lydia, where tradition tells us Lydia became the first European convert to Christianity after being baptized by St. Paul.

We continue to the beautiful coastal city of Kavala, known in biblical times as Neapolis, where St. Paul first arrived in Europe.

Returning to Thessaloniki, we enjoy a panoramic tour featuring the White Tower, the Arch of Galerius, the Rotunda, Aristotelous Square, and the magnificent Church of St. Demetrius.

Holy Mass will be celebrated during the day (subject to availability).

Meteora Monasteries – Athens

This morning we depart for the breathtaking monasteries of Meteora, one of Greece's most spectacular spiritual treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Built atop towering rock pillars hundreds of feet above the valley, these monasteries have inspired pilgrims for centuries. We visit selected monasteries while admiring incredible panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Following our visit, we continue our scenic drive to Athens.

Approximate driving times:

  • Thessaloniki to Meteora – 3 hours

  • Meteora to Athens – 4½ hours

Day 5

Embark on the Celestyal Cruise – Mykonos

After breakfast, we transfer to the Port of Piraeus to board our three-night Celestyal Cruise.

Once onboard, enjoy lunch as our ship sails into the beautiful Aegean Sea.

This evening we arrive at Mykonos, famous for its whitewashed houses, narrow stone streets, colorful flowers, charming cafés, picturesque harbor, and iconic windmills.

Spend free time exploring this beautiful island before returning to the ship.

Kusadasi (Ancient Ephesus) – Patmos

This morning our ship arrives in Kusadasi, Türkiye.

Our included shore excursion takes us to Ancient Ephesus, one of the world's best-preserved Roman cities and an important center of early Christianity.

We visit the Library of Celsus, Marble Road, Temple of Hadrian, Great Theatre, and other remarkable ruins. According to tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary spent her final years near Ephesus under the care of St. John.

Returning to the ship, we continue sailing to the sacred island of Patmos.

Here we visit the Monastery of St. John the Theologian and the Cave of the Apocalypse, where St. John received the visions recorded in the Book of Revelation.

Crete – Santorini

Our first stop today is Heraklion on the island of Crete.

Enjoy free time to experience this historic island before continuing to one of the most beautiful destinations in the world—Santorini.

Santorini is famous for its breathtaking cliffs, blue-domed churches, whitewashed villages, stunning caldera views, and unforgettable sunsets.

Take time to stroll through its charming streets, shop for local crafts, and admire one of God's most beautiful creations before returning to the ship.

Day 8

Cruise Disembarkation – Ancient Corinth – Athens

After breakfast, we disembark our cruise and travel to Ancient Corinth, where St. Paul spent nearly eighteen months preaching and establishing one of the strongest Christian communities in the ancient world.

We visit the Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth, the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Agora, and the famous Bema, where St. Paul stood before Gallio.

We also stop for photos overlooking the impressive Corinth Canal.

Holy Mass will be celebrated (subject to availability).

Day 9

Athens City Tour

Today we discover the rich history of Athens.

Our sightseeing includes the magnificent Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike, and Mars Hill (Areopagus), where St. Paul delivered his famous sermon to the Athenians proclaiming the "Unknown God."

We continue to Constitution Square to witness the ceremonial changing of the Presidential Guard before passing the Panathenaic Stadium and other famous landmarks.

Enjoy free time in the charming Plaka district for shopping, local cafés, and personal exploration.

This evening we gather for our farewell dinner as we reflect on the many blessings received throughout our pilgrimage.

Day 10

Departure

Transfer to Athens International Airport for your return flight home, filled with beautiful memories of Greece — the land were faith met civilization.
